Thread: Willson 2950 Compensating Euphonium For Sale

  1. Question Willson 2950 Compensating Euphonium For Sale

I am selling my Willson 2950 TA compensating euphonium. Bought it in Germany 3 years ago, this instrument is large shank and it has an excellent full sound and great intonation. It is in great condition (it has a small dent on bell by previous owner that was repaired, not visible in pictures), it comes with original MeadSprings (original Willson valve springs also included) and a hard case. I am asking for $6,800, buyer pays shipping and insurance (shipping within US only). Please let me know if you have any questions!

That looks like a very nice sample of the 2950. I have taught 2 different grad students who played a 2950 and it is a fine sounding horn. One played on a BB1 mouthpiece and sounded great in the more contained style that the BB1 encourages. The other played a 4AL and that mp made the sound a bit more toward my preference (British style).

  3. Yes it is in perfect playing and cosmetic condition, big sound! Bought it in Frankfurt in March 2020 but don't use it much any more. Thank you!

BTW, I "pinned" the post so it stays in the top group of listings. That's because if someone clicks your link and then purchases the horn from eBay, the forum here will get an automatic commission, which helps support the cost of operation.
