Interesting configuration. E2, but lighter bell and slightly smaller bell than standard.

Nice to see that it is official! I had some hints that it was happening.
The thinner bell is red brass, which could make for an interesting tonal color.
Here is a photo from before the announcement, showing Glyn and his wife Helen enjoying a meal with Miel Adams and Ruud Corstjens. (I wonder if Helen will switch to an Adams flugel???)

The word is getting out there! I did think an E2 would suit a brass band very well. Glad to see I’m not ALWAYS wrong![]()
If I ever return, and given the fact I haven’t yet had the nerve to even listen to brass band music since the incident this seems impossibly unlikely, I’ll be back on an E2, without hesitation.
When one of the 'heavies' of the brass band world moves off Besson, one will see more pro players going for the Adams.
AFAIAA he was playing Sterling for decades. His solo album is quite simply sublime, and it will be interesting to see what the E2 does to his sound because I always felt that some of his register isn’t as full as the rest (TC bottom C to low G). If my experience is anything to go by the E2 is phenomenal in that register. As for the rest he doesn’t need much help there!
