Considering that it likely that the E3 in question will come protected by a top quality Bonna case, ask yourself..... Are you accident prone? Are you likely to bang your eupho onto furniture, music stands, floors, etc.... Or you typically have no little accidents? How likely are you to ding the bell during a band rehersal or concert?

Yes, a 0.5 millimeters sterling silver bell is 0.1 millimeters thinner than a 0.6 millimeters bell, but to a careful user who always protects his instrument in its case, that might or might not mean too much.
