Unless things have changed, they can get the Miraphone M5050. Talk to Stan Kolb, the owner. Tell him John Morgan sent you for a good deal. They sell, or used to, a ton of Miraphone tubas, also. I mean a ton, all over the US. At least they used to.

Steve Kolb is the person who specifically said to me (email attached), “We are authorized Miraphone dealers but only import 4 models of Bb tubas. These are the 186-4U, 187-4U, 191-4U and the 1291-4U. We do not offer the 5050 euphonium but there are 4-5 other US importers that you could try.”

Well, I'll be. He sure got a Miraphone M5050 for me pronto, will not pronto, but with the next load of tubas he had coming when I got it around 2013 or so. And when I got it, he was willing to let me try it to see if I liked it. Guess things have changed. Too bad.

Interesting that he only sells Bb tubas as well. (Of course, I could simply be ignorant of what Miraphone offers…maybe they only specialize in Bb tubas.)

After "name dropping" John Morgan, Stan did offer to purchase an M5050 for me if I wasn't able to secure one through another method. He said they fill a 40' container full of 105 tubas at a time and he JUST received a shipment. So, he is willing, but it will be a LONG wait.
