My Hawkes 4v 1912 E flat Cavalry tuba is no longer a loner amongst all my euphoniums, I just added a beautiful Martin 3v E flat Sousaphone to my collection.

I've tried various models/pitches before, old & new and have not really found them satisfying to play, however, this one is a dream and the quality of the build/thickness of the metal/feel of the valves is superb.

The seriel number dates it to 1972 I think (188xxx) and it's in a nice gold plate finish.

Hope to post pics later, it will be featured in my next recital on May 15th.
