Written for Charley Brighton in early 2003 and recorded live at the premiere in St. Marys Parish Church , on a Willson 2900 Euphonium with Malcolm Stowell, piano.

About the composer;
James Mackie lives in ABERDEEN , United Kingdom . He studied music at Salford University , England specialising in composition and arranging studies. He is a trombonist and pianist. Although James likse all forms of music, his main interest is in Film, Orchestral, Jazz and writing Musicals. He also writes Easy Listening orchestral, and popular song arrangement music under the name Auralis, and has written five CD albums: 'Sound Traveller' Vols 1 & 2 'The Mood I'm In', Piano/Orchestral, 'Easy Classical' Orchestral, 'Destiny' Orchestral - Traditional Scottish Music arrangements, all of which can be bought from CDBaby on the net. He has written more music which he has not had time to set up for publishing, such as his musical: 'Hong Kong Oriental'
James is also a published author of two fiction books, called 'Operation Jackdaw', and 'To Snare A Fox. They are published by: www.xlibris.com/JamesWright . Charley Brighton has a long and exciting history of playing the Euphonium. In 2005 he celebrated his 40th year of making music on this great instrument. His current status includes Euphonium soloist, band director, band trainer and brass teacher. He is currently Euphonium soloist and guest conductor with the BBC Elstree Concert Band, based at London s Maida Vale Studios, the City of London Winds based at St. Paul s In Covent Garden, the Staines Band of the Salvation Army and the Orchestra of the City. In November of 2004 he signed a contract with Willson Band Instruments of Switzerland as a performing artist.
