Blechschaden - Brass Ensemble Collection - Tango For Elise

Category: Brass Band/Ensemble
Artist: Blechschaden - Brass Ensemble
Title: Tango For Elise

Complete recomposition incorporating themes from Beethoven's classic piano etude "For Elise". Commissioned by Blechschaden, the award-winning Munich Philharmonic Brass Ensemble. This arrangement is Piazolla Tango Nuevo from start to finish and "For Elise" lends itself fabulously to be played as a tango! Each of the instrumental sections are featured and a muted interlude allows the piece to appear in a completely new light. Small musical quips will immediately bring smiles to your listener's faces and this piece lives from the contrast between loud tutti ensemble sections and small chamber-like passages. The performance is a bit fast and on top of the beat but the concept of the piece is communicated. For sheet music and MP3s go to www.jonwelchmusic.com. Enjoy!
