I was just recently reminded of that beautiful solo, "Be My Love" by Nicholas Brodsky, arr. Ray Farr again. I think it was arranged for Nick Childs and the Grimethorpe Band many years ago by Mr. Farr. The song was originally from the movie, "The Toast of New Orleans" back in 1950 where Mario Lanza sang this gorgeous melody.
One of my favorite euphonium soloists for playing the slow melody has been Riki McDonnell. Riki recorded this on his CD, 'Euphonium Songbook'. It's now shared on YouTube at the link below:

Then I found where Katrina Marzella played it on baritone with Black Dyke Brass Band some years ago.

I think both of these are excellent! Although I like the rich tone of euphonium I also like it on baritone with a bit brighter tone. Ms. Marzella is considered to be one of the best baritone players right now.
