Do You Plan to Attend the 50th Anniversay ITEC in Tempe AZ May 29 - June 3?

The ITEC this year should be quite an event, since it is the 50th anniversary of such conferences. I'm planning to be there and will be playing in a large ensemble and hanging out. There should be a lot of great music AND some unmatchable shopping opportunities!

I’d love to attend one of these one day, but I will probably have to wait another 5 years or so when I retire and can have time to travel. I’m lucky in that I am local to the Army tuba/euph conference and my impression is that although it seems smaller than ITEC, it is still an excellent event.

I sure would like to attend but I will not be able to. I still remember the ITEC I attended in Greensboro, NC back in 2002. It was awesome! For anyone considering attending I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Hmm, well if it is a long drive from Dallas, what is it from Florida? I was considering going (I have been to the past two ITEC's), but that was when I was still living in Sturgis, SD. Now near Orlando, Florida, that would be a drive for sure. I pretty much don't fly at all (not afraid, just hate the hassle). So, it is drive or walk. It is almost 2,100 miles for me to drive. Yikes!!

But I am certain this will be a great ITEC. I will have to dwell on it for a bit.

Because Tempe is a driveable distance from where I live in California, and I typically take two weeks off from work in this general time frame, I may very well go. We'll see what local performance obligations I have here and it's near the end of our concert season, so can't miss a rehearsal or performance then, but fingers crossed.
