    FS: Martin 3-Valve Alto Horn

THIS LISTING WAS IN ERROR - IT IS NOT A BARI-EUPH.

The Martin is not a well-known brand in the euphonium world, but they made nice instruments. A former student brought in an old Martin that was badly worn, but it played very well. The curved bell is adjustable, which makes it more useful in some situations. A rough looking hard case is included, but it looks mostly like the covering is coming off - otherwise the photos make it look sound. There is nothing fancy about it - just a good instrument that was well made. The asking price is as high as I would want to see it: $475, but there is a make-offer button. (The seller is not a musician, but that could make them easier or harder to bargain with.)

This is an Eb Alto Horn. Interesting that someone decided to gut a Conn 4 Trumpet mouthpiece rather than just buy an Alto Horn mouthpiece. Good results are unlikely, but it can be hard to tell when it comes to Alto things.

Hard to tell scale/size from the photos…but it DOES look like an alto horn. (Surprisingly, we’ve got two of them on our college band.)

You are correct. I should have looked more closely at the photo with the person's hand. Thanks for the correction!
