2023 Army Band Workshop - Selected Videos

I'll be adding trimmed videos here for some of the performances. These will be just the single piece, so you don't need to seek through a whole video. Here is the first:

Toby Furr performs brilliantly in Philip Sparke's "Harlequin" - he is with the Brass Band of Northern Virginia, conducted by Brian Bowman at the 2023 Army Band Tuba Euphonium Workshop.

Forgot to mention - I also enhanced the videos to make it easier to see the people.

"Concertino" by Rolf Wilhelm. SPC Zachary Al-Radiedeh is serving with a U.S Army Band in Korea. This was a Thursday morning performance at this great annual clinic/workshop!

A very interesting piece for euphonium and electronic accompaniment: "Lost in the World" by Andrew Creech. Performed at the Army Band's Tuba-Euphonium Workshop this year by A1C Andrew Berry, euphonium, from USAF Band of the Golden West. It was originally written for euphonium and percussion ensemble, and later modified for euphonium with electronic accompaniment (heard here).

It’s a super interesting, alternate configuration. Does anyone know how it stacks up, weight wise, with one of the compensating Adams horns?

Here is the joint services euphonium ensemble (no Navy or Coast Guard folks this year, though). It's nearly an hour of fine euphonium playing! Conducted by Brian Bowman, who makes very interesting points with all of his introductions.

    PROGRAM:
Rakoczy March from Damnation of Faust | Hector Berlioz, arr. Irving Ray
Canzon 'Cornetto' in Bb Major | Samuel Scheidt, arr. Michael Rondeau
On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss | David Holsinger, arr. Pat Stuckemeyer
Dance of the Jesters from The Snow Maidens | Pyotr Tchaikovsky, arr. Travis Scott
Petite Litanies de Jesus | Gabriel Grovlez, arr. Patrick Schultz
Fantasy for Euphonium Choir | Benjamin Roundtree
Mansions of the Lord from We Were Soldiers | Nick Glennie-Smith, arr. Brian Bowman
Ball of Fire | Peter Smalley
