This is a pretty nice horn. The mechanical condition seems excellent, and the finish is acceptable for a horn of this age. If I owned it, I probably would not feel the need to have it refinished. The price is $2999 and there IS a Make-Offer button.

What is that black "plug" on the upper bow of the DB euphonium? I saw that in a few pictures and could not figure out what it was. Just curious. Looks like someone shot the horn, then plugged the hole, but I think that is probably not the case.

Believe that to be a bump guard for the smaller bell when turned in and stored in the case. Some DBEs will use cork.
