Hi Everyone! Sorry if my original post was confusing!

I ordered the antique-finished E2 last summer through Horn Guys. I was working with Steve (who is Horn Guys) and he gave me a list of Euphs they had sitting at the factory ready to go. I wanted an E2 that was engraved and so I purchased the one that is now listed as a discount. When I received the horn I had it checked out because of the bent lead pipe and I had also noticed some moisture bubbles at a ferrule while I was playing. I had the horn checked for leaks and the ferrule was indeed leaking. Adams felt they would rather build me a new horn than give me a discount on that horn (which I kind of thought was odd considering that's exactly what it is happening now). They let me keep that horn and play it until they were able to build me another euphonium (the one you see pictured). The only thing I changed was the changing the antique to a brushed gold lacquer.

In the end, I'm very happy with how it was all handled because I prefer the look of my new horn to the antique (even though both were stunning). Both horns played exceptionally in tune and have such a beautiful sound. I'm especially impressed now that I'm using Demondrae's mouthpiece on it.

Hi Larry, the Horn Guys page for this E2 at

    https://hornguys.com/collections/ten...antique-finish

states that the horn in question was "almost ready for prime time". This is suggestive that repairs might have been already in-process at page creation time.

A call to Steve at Horn Guys should answer the matter of repair completion status.

    Best, G.

Aha! Another Demondrae mouthpiece user!! Good choice. I love my Adams with the Demondrae. Don't ever plan to change it. I think you will keep yours, also. Good luck and congratulations with the new horn!! Nothing like an Adams!!!

A magnificent mouthpiece the BT16 Demondrae is indeed... Not surprisingly, on my Miraphone M5050 as well

That is the horn I owned when my love affair with the Demondrae mouthpiece started! Sold the horn eventually, but kept the mouthpiece.

Looks like this page disappeared and the horn isn’t on their site anymore.

Seems like the E2 is finally getting its moment. For a long while it felt like there was a huge bias favoring the E3 when it was added to the lineup. All three models are great!
