This system devised by Besson is one of many devised over time to solve intonation problems. The instrument does not appear to be in good condition, with the lead tube crimped after some knocks and the pistons showing significant signs of wear. However the price is interesting and, after an appropriate restoration it could be an interesting instrument for collectors of musical instruments. For those interested in how this particular horn works, you can see it here: https://youtu.be/aeUkpI6rRUQ
    2007 Besson Prestige 2052, 3D+ K&G mouthpiece; JP373 baritone, 4B modified K&G mouthpiece; Bach 42GO trombone, T4C K&G mouthpiece; 1973 Besson New Standard 3 compensated valves, 3D+ K&G modified mouthpiece; Wessex French C tuba, 3D+ K&G modified mouthpiece.

How much would a "restoration" cost for something like this?

Trent Hamilton always does a great job of explaining and educating in his videos!

Serial number 117555 puts this horn at 1923 - 100 years old.
