For what it's worth, when I went to Schmitt Music today to pick up my cleaned E3, I visited their euph-tuba room and tested the new double-strap Comfy on some of the horns they had. We already know it fits Adams, so I did not test their E1 and E3. The ones I did test, and which all worked with the strap, were:

    Besson 2052
    Eastman 426
    Eastman 526
    Eastman 822
    Shires Q40
    Shires Q41
    Yamaha 642 Neo
    Yamaha 842

The Shires Q41 was the most challenging, and it did benefit from the double straps. That was mostly due to the optional trigger mechanism it had, which created a lot of busy-ness in the area where the strap goes. But once mounted, it sat there neatly and securely.

Here are a few more of Valerie's custom straps (extra charge). If I had half an imagination, I would try to come up with a design to ask for!

I think that Swedish floral design is really pretty.

I have a 967. Will the standard strap work or is Dave's double strap the way to go?

Probably either would work, but it might depend on how short a leash you want. Valerie is planning to make the double strap the standard model, so I would suggest going with that. I don't find any disadvantage with it, and it does offer more fine-tuning of mounting.

I'm actually fond of my single-strap ones. Now they will be collector's items.

(Quick Horn Rinse actually makes one that is functionally the same (single-strap) but isn't nearly as nice (it os more utilitarian-looking and has a large QHR advert prominently displayed on it).)
