    Embouchure readiness when away.

How do you maintain your embouchure readiness when away from your horn? Our concert band's Christmas concert is about 3 weeks away and I'm out of town for Thanksgiving for 5 days. I'm doing light buzzing, embouchure flexibility exercises and reading through the music. How do you keep your embouchure playing ready while away for days at a time, especially when your performance is only a few weeks away?

Yes, thank you. I have the P.E.T.E. and am using it as well.

I really wouldn't worry about it. Missing five days of not playing is not an issue. Just buzz on your mouthpiece some and enjoy the break.
