    Rhapsody on Christmas Carols - Claude T. Smith

    "Rhapsody on Christmas Carols" was commissioned by the U.S. Marine Band many years ago and is an excellent arrangement by Claude T. Smith. We're playing this arrangement again this year and I really enjoy playing it. I think it's a grade 4 or 5 but not sure. It's a collection of Christmas Carols featuring many sections of the band. The melody moves around the ensemble pretty well featuring bassoon, trombone, tubas, flute, horns, euphonium (obbligato), clarinet, piccolo and marimba.
