Adams E1. Which mouthpiece do you use?

    Hello,

If you play on an Adams E1, which mouthpiece do you like to use?

Hello Mitch. Austin Custom Brass will be releasing a new line of Euphonium mouthpieces by the end of the year! I am really excited about them. I liked Euphonium 1 and 2 the best. Euphonium 3 was a little too big for me. I tested them out on an Adams A1. They will be available in large shank and in Euro-shank. We hope to have them to premiere at Midwest Clinic in Chicago this year.

  3. Depending on what kind of setup you have with it, I use the Mercer and Bark MB3-ET. It fits really well into the receiver and I love the sound it has through my Adam’s!

When I played the E1 I think I used my Wick SM4U most of the time.

I have held off on going back to my SM4U (since getting my E3 and several mouthpieces to test). I think after our next concert I will give it some time with my E3 (I'm pretty much settled on the Perantucci PT-7C for now).

    I use an Alliance E2

  7. For me, going to stainless steel was a huge improvement. I've tried a few from the Giddings line, going small to large: Kadja, GW-102, GW-103, and Carbonaria. They are all great, but the 102 works best for me.
