You are one up on me, Larry. I have never played in a euphonium section that included a cello. It looks like the music department there is pretty creative at putting together ensembles using the available musicians (and the occasional townie ringer).

We had a cellist sitting in for a few rehearsals of the community band this fall. He was self-taught, and I guess he was just in over his head. I don't know of a single school around here that has an orchestra program.

She’s great. Bummed there wasn’t an orchestra at the college…but thrilled to be able to participate!

She has been helping out with percussion some as well. (You may have noticed her in the drumline performance at the beginning of the concert…and saw her leave to the back during one of the songs)

Did “TubaChristmas” at West Acres today with my youngest (Gabe).

This isn’t even half the songs we did. (We played a LONG time)

Great, keep up the good progress. Nothing like playing euphonium to get yourself going in the right direction!
