I am doing euphonium solo with our community band (newly formed!) on the piece "Reverie" by Jerry Nowak.
During a discussion on facebook regarding the piece (was looking for a recording...which I found), one of the group members (band directors group) said that, if he were me, he'd get out a sharp pencil and rewrite the cadenza...even mentioning he had 5 ways in his head to rephrase it (but, won't share. how rude! LOL).
Anyways, this got me thinking that maybe I could find someone willing to spice it up a bit. See images (measures 73-74) and link to recording.
Let me know if anyone wants to take a stab. (and DW, please move this thread if it is more suited somewhere else!)
