    Sailing with Whales - Rossano Galante

    Our band just started rehearsing this fairly new work by Rossano Galante, written in 2020 — commissioned work for the Hikarigaoka Girls' High School Wind Orchestra in Japan. It's excellent! We've played a few of Galante's other works like, "Resplendent Glory" and "Raise of the Son", which are also good. If your band is looking for something new and exciting, "Sailing with Whales" could be a good choice.

      That's a very nice piece! The band is pretty large and plays very nicely together. I also enjoyed the "head choreography" that seemed to emphasize the swoops in the music!
