    The Next Karate Kid

Right at the beginning, and no face time for this poor euphoniumist. I think these are real musicians, and the conductor that shows up a few seconds looks real and military.

And then we see its little sister, which I think is an Eb horn (this would actually make sense for a marching setup):

Those would be members of The United States Army Band (Pershing's Own). Do you have a picture of the conductor? I can probably recognize and name him if I see the face.

Can you recognize people from the back of their head (and haircut)? Plus these photos may show you other folks you could know.

Yes, I looked up the movie and saw it was in 1994. I left the band in 1976, almost 20 years earlier. The conductor is a Captain, so I would not know him, he probably wasn't even in the service in 1976, unless he was enlisted first. And most of the band members are E-6, so I wouldn't know any of them (they would be relatively new to the band). I don't recognize the two Master Sergeants.
