The mouthpiece has a rounded rim but less rounded than the SM4XR Mouthpiece and has a 7.1mm throat. I have to admit that this mouthpiece is really comfortable and I can play for extended periods on my 'MDPS1' Mouthpiece without becoming fatigued.
I will find out the exact specifications of The 'MDPS1' Mouthpiece and get back to you later this week if this is ok?
Best Wishes,

Please do! I assume it's 26mm diameter? I am giving serious thought to ordering a 26.4mm with medium backbore, rather than the 26mm / large backbone I currently have. The bronze makes for a heavy mouthpiece and the sound in the lower middle register seems to have more resonance about it, although that is also a characteristic of the E2. I might contact Tony and see what the heaviest material he can make a mouthpiece out of, although the prospect of paying another £400 for a mouthpiece is a bit daunting.
You're bang on about stamina too - I did a two hour set, loud gig a couple of weeks back, as the only euph and still had chops left at the end. I don't think I played less than forte for the whole gig. Sadly I went on holiday for ten days and didn't take my mouthpiece or hooter so any strength reserves I'd built up, have gone.
