The National Brass Band Championship 2006

I just watched a very interesting 1-hour video uploaded by Steven Mead not too long ago. It's Steven Mead with a 'behind the scenes' look at the Brass Band Championships at Royal Albert Hall in 2006. It was a movie sponsored by Buffet Crampon. Steven Mead interviews some very famous chaps. A few that I can remember are:

Robert Childs (Buy as You View BB)
David Thornton (solo euph Black Dyke)
Katrina Marzella (1st baritone Black Dyke)
Major Peter Parks (famous director who won seven times)
    Mike Dodd (solo euph Grimethorpe)

The contest piece was a Berlioz piece. You hear some of the competitions with the most being played by Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

Just watched it. Great video. Thanks for posting, Rick. Linda and I would sure like to go to one of those championships someday. Maybe....
