For sale is an Adams E1 Custom Series euphonium with a gold brass bell, 0,6mm gauge in silverplate.
This horn was made in 2014 and sold in 2015 at the Adams factory in the Netherlands to the original owner who selected it after testing a batch of several Adams euphoniums.
As all Adams euphoniums, this horn has a dual 15-16mm bore size and Bauerfeind compensating, stainless steel valves. Valve caps on valves 1-3 are medium weight with a standard one on the 4th valve. The adjustable gap receiver is also present. 12" bell made from gold brass, main tuning slide from red brass and the leadpipe from yellow brass, all hand-hammered.
As expected, the horn plays very well with fantastic response and great intonation over the whole register. This particular E1 is by far the best one I've encountered yet. The lightweight build makes it an extremely resonant instrument, it really is a joy to play.
Please see the pictures for the condition. The silverplate is in excellent shape and the only signs of use are some small pinhole dents in the bell and lower bow along with some light scratches. This instrument could easily pass as a showroom or exposition model. The original Marcus Bonna hardcase, also in good shape, is included.
Asking $3500, private sale. I can ship (overseas) if buyer pays shipping. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
