Mike, I think Dave knows me pretty well. You suffer from the "hoarder" affliction, too??!! My illness extends to other instruments as well, sigh....

    I'd report this to eBay.

This guy is milking a falsehood.

The ad says "previously played and hand selected by the Sotto Voce Tuba Quartet". If it was patrick's horn, that is true. I did reach out to Patrick via email - we'll see if I get a response.

I'll send you a photo of my studio - my guitar collection makes my horn collection look like a starter kit.

Unrelated to the ad itself, it's worth noting that this horn would have the "wider" 3rd valve slide spacing that makes accessing the 4th valve more difficult for some.

My early 2007 German built 2051 also had that gap. The change to the newer wrap didn't occur until 2011 or so (I think).

Here is the conversation I had with the seller after pointing this mistake out. I didn't respond to him as I'm not interested in the horn but so you all know what his thoughts were.

I'm meeting this guy on Saturday to check this horn out. Maybe it's a dog, maybe it's great. Will report back.

    Mike,

Did anything come out of your trial? The horn is gone from Ebay, so I'm guessing it isn't for sale anymore.

I did end up buying it, for less than the advertised price.

I had a thorough cleaning done, and replaced all the bumpers and springs. It plays well.
