What type of tuba is this?

Can anyone tell me what type of tuba this is? This is as much detail as I have?

    Welcome to the forum!

We have some smart folks here, but that photo is a bit skimpy! I'd guess some form of a Besson compensating tuba.

What tips you off that it's a Besson?

    William,

Can you tell us why you are asking about the horn? Where did you get the photo?

    1) Curious.

    2) Internet.

  9. Looks to be a comp tuba. Could be either Eb or BBb but cannot be told due to the lack of other details. Due to the bracing I am almost sure It is a Besson.
    Some stuff

Thanks Josh. So the bracing is the tip-off that it's a Besson. That's what I was hoping to find out.
