    Valve felts

Sorry, bone playing valve noob here. I've got a Conn 24i with clanky valves. Recently bought it from an unknown past. I'm assuming that I can replace the felt or rubber pieces under the buttons and caps. Where do I get these and what do I need to know to get the correct ones?

As far as where to buy valve felts, this older thread was very helpful to me several years ago:

I bought the same Valentino ones from J.L. Smith (https://www.jlsmithco.com/product-ca...valve-washers/) that ghmerrill referenced in his post and they are nice quiet felts that worked great for me. Those were for my Schiller compensating euph, so I doubt those are the ones you would need for the 24i. It likes like they are lots of sizes on the website to choose from. Hopefully someone here can help you specify the right size!

Thanks for that. JLSmith looks promising.

clanky valves might be just felts but it could also be worn valve guides.
