Boosey and Company - The Service Class

    Hello everyone,

I have been doing a bit of research into my 1916 dated Solbron Euphonium and I came across an advertisement from Boosey and Company which was promoting The Service Class range of brass instruments designed specially for the various regimental bands of The British Army.

I was wondering if anyone had come across any of these instruments before or if anyone had any further information about this range of instruments?

Currently, there is a 3-valve Besson from 1912 (based upon the serial number) on eBay.

      Hello Shinn,

Thank you so much for the link. I believe that The Service Class range of instruments were designed for use by the various battalion bands in The British Army. The Service Class range of instruments were supposed to be the same quality as the professional range of instruments but cheaper in price.

I really hope to find some more information in regards to The Service Class range of instruments in the near future.

      Best Wishes,

      Micah Dominic Parsons
