Thread: Replacement valve button for besson new standard

  1. Replacement valve button for besson new standard

I have somehow lost the valve button for the 4th valve on my vintage besson new standard. They are the older taller and narrower style. Any idea where or how i could get a replacement?

Dawkes music in England had some in the raw. You will need to finish them and add the top insert.

    At least they had them.

  3. Thanks for the tip. They don't have any atm atleast. If anyone knows of any finger buttons that fit i don't mind if it mismatches. I did happen to have a trumpet one that fits that will do for now. Truth be told, i would rather have more modern style caps.

You probably know this already but be careful changing style of buttons as it may affect your port alignment on the ‘down stroke’. May need more or less felt thickness.
