    Hercules Euphonium/tuba stand

I'm embarrassed to ask this but ...

I just purchased a Hercules euphonium/tuba performer's stand. The euphonium stand is too low when I try to play the euphonium using my drummer's throne.

If I were playing a tuba, I'm sure it would be fine.

I need at least another 6" - 9" in height. I'm assuming that I'm doing something wrong.

    Thanks.

mmatisoff - I just looked up the Hercules Tuba/Euphonium Performer Stand. According to the specs it adjusts from 12.6 to 23.6 inches in height. I measured this distance (the maximum of 23.6) and put my euphonium on top of that height, and sitting in my chair that I use at my desk, the euphonium was too low for me to play. So, I am not so sure you are doing anything wrong. Unless I am missing something in the description of the stand (which I looked up on the Hercules website), it seems the stand needs to have more height available, especially for euphoniums, tall people and tallish chairs.

I would be interested in hearing from someone who actually has this thing and uses it with a euphonium.
