Looking at the bore size, it seems like a euphonium - but with rotary valves and a smaller bell.

These types of instruments always interest me. I'd love to get the chance play one (or a Miraphone or an Alexander) at some point. IIRC people on these forums have said that they can be a bit hard to "wrestle" with, playing-wise, compared to a typical euphonium?

i had a 5-valve Miraphone 56A. Great sound, really challenging intonation and crappy ergonomics.

I was in a group with a person who played a Miraphone 56A. I played it once and completely agree they have a great sound and challenging intonation. But it was a very fun instrument to play.
