FS: Getzen 1052FD Bass Trombone
Hi all,
Yes, I realize this is a tuba/euphonium forum, however we have many people here who double on trombone/bass trombone, so I figured I'd post this here!
I am downsizing my instrument collection, thus I am offering my 2018 Getzen 1052FD bass trombone for sale. I have played it in brass band, wind band, and quintets and it has done a wonderful job for me. However, I simply do not play it enough anymore to justify keeping it in my basement unplayed. The instrument looks and plays practically brand new. I have added an Edwards bullet brace to offer more comfort when holding the instrument, however it can be removed if you prefer not to use it.
The specs on the instrument are below (copied from the Getzen website https://www.getzen.com/trombone/eternabass/1052fd.shtml)
Bore Size:
.562"
(with three interchangeable leadpipes)
Tuning Slide:
Rose brass
Handslide:
Hand straightened nickel silver inside tubes
(chrome plated with barrel shaped stockings)
Yellow brass outside tubes with nickel silver end crook and oversleeves
Bell:
9 ½", dual gauge yellow brass with unsoldered rim
Mouthpiece:
1½G Trombone
Finish (click for photos):
Clear lacquer or bright silver plate
Valves:
Independent, open wrap F/Gb/D attachment
2 rotary valves
This is a terrific bass trombone that will carry one through pretty much all playing situations from amateur to professional. I'm asking $3,200 (they are $4,000 brand new). PM or email inquiries to jkircoff at gmail dot com.
Thanks!
