    Learning Fantasy by Philip Sparke

    Hello Everybody
I'm a senior in high school and I'm preparing for college auditions and hopefully TMEA Solo and Ensemble contest. I am going to learn Fantasy by Philip Sparke but does anyone have any tips on practicing it or performing it.

Welcome to the forum! I was just practicing this piece yesterday, BTW. Often when I practice I come across some things that I will video record and then make some suggestions for practice, but nothing sprang to mind as I was working through this. The standard "start slow and work up the speed" applies in this case (for the fast parts).

But here is my performance while I was with the Coast Guard Band. It is mostly the way I would play it today, except I might try to do something differently in the slow parts (not sure exactly what that would be, but I just didn't think I find the best interpretation yet).
