    Euphonium Soloist Geoff Parsons

    Hello everyone,

I have recently discovered a number of video's of my Dad, Geoff Parsons playing a number of Euphonium Solo's and I wanted to share the links here. I hope you will enjoy them.

I was also wondering if someone could identify the piece of music in the following video too.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Best Wishes,

    Micah Dominic Parsons

I'm also working on publishing a duet arrangement for flugel and euphonium. Here is an audio file from my Coast Guard days (1995 concert). This was an encore to a Bach duet we had played:

If you know Kerry Beaumont at the Cathedral, his wife Leslie is my high school band director's daughter.
I still maintain contact with her.
Strangely enough, when I was in Grantham and Aberystwyth in '89, I had lost contact with her
and had no idea she was in Coventry.
I assume the SA Band in Coventry no longer exists. Is there any brass band in Coventry these days?
            Best wishes for peaceful holidays!
            Jim

              Hello everyone,

Thank you so much Dave for finding the name of this piece for me. I have discovered a new piece of music which I must find to look at.

There is still a Salvation Army Band in Coventry and we also have The Jaguar Land Rover Band which is a Championship Section Band, The City of Coventry Brass which is a 2nd Section Band and also The Coventry Festival Band which is a 4th Section Band and outside of Coventry we also have quite a few bands located nearby which is quite lucky! Although the best bands in the area are The GUS Band located in Kettering and The Desford Colliery Band.

              Best Wishes,

              Micah Dominic Parsons
