I guess this is mostly "trombone" stuff, but the Elliott parts might be of interest here.

How much, including shipping, for a Hercules DS552B Tuba/Euphonium Stand? You would be sending it to Elk Grove, CA 95624. Does it hold the smaller baritone horn well? Or is it geared for the "big brothers" of the horn family?

Shipping is included, but the fit of a baritone horn is precarious on these. I don't recommend it.

                  Sara,

I have two K&M 14941 euphonium stands in my practice room. When I am in brass band season, I have one adjusted for baritone and the other for euphonium. I like these because the horns sits completely vertical. All the crud rolls downhill. After a long practice, as the horn cools, condensation will continue to accumulate. When I start my next practice, I dump all the slides and can be assured the condensation accumulated at the bottom of the slides and not in the valves.

K&M are THE best as far as I am concerned. Like Doug, I like how they sit. Upright and very secure. Have had the stand for many years with no issues whatsoever. I have it's big brother for my Eb tuba.

                      Y'all aren't helping.

I find the angled orientation of the Hercules stand to be preferable in some ways, and it is certainly strong and stable. It does occupy more space than the K&M and is not as universally compatible with euphoniums, or at all with baritones. Tubas are no problem.

Sorry about that, I just remembered that you were trying to sell a couple of the Hercules stands, my bad. They're good and I think Dave likes them a lot. I just like the K&M better.
