Yes, the Wedge 103 does indeed feel smaller than the Wick 4AL on MY face, and Mike concurs WRT his face.

That was true before and after they performed medical Roto-Rooter on my sinuses. I'm going to have to see how
things unfold before I settle on a post-surgery mouthpiece--everything feels different when I can get a full breath
    into both nostrils!!

I use a Wedge 102E, per the advice by Dr. Dave. Although it might be a bit smaller than a Wick SM4U I did not have any trouble getting used to the new feel. I did seem to notice a slightly easier upper range and more body in the lower range.
Unfortunately, due to corona restrictions I have not played in a while....

  3. Hello everyone,

Thank you so much, this is absolutely fascinating! I will have to explore the Wedge 103E Mouthpiece a little further.

    Best Wishes,

  4. I am now using the wedge 101G. It is supposed to be similar to the Bach 5G I was using before. Loved the 5G. Still do. The wedge helps a little bit with the high range. But I find it pinches the low range tone a little bit. Little bit of a trade off. I switch them out depending on what I’m doing.

  5. Hello Mark,

This is fascinating to hear. Thank you so much for your response.

Mine's for sale elsewhere on the forum...I might be willing to ship to *you* if it doesn't break the bank.
