Thread: New Album by Mai Kokubo - Miko Dance

  1. New Album by Mai Kokubo - Miko Dance

Hi all, I wanted to share a new CD that Japanese euphonium artist Mai Kokubo recently released! It features works by Hiroshi Hoshina and Takashi Haga, including a new concerto and Hoshina's Fantasy for Euphonium.

She studied with Dr. Bowman and Toru Miura, and currently teaches at several colleges across Japan. She also gave a solo recital at last year's ITEC, where she premiered a few of the works on this CD.

The album showcases some really beautiful and nuanced performances by Mai and her pianist, Mayuko Inagaki.

There are some sampler videos on Youtube that I'll link below.
