Description reads as follows:
"Denis Wick Gold Plated 6AL Modified to Euro/Medium Shank for Euphonium. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. Insured up to final sale price.
THIS IS NOT A LARGE SHANK MOUTHPIECE.
This mouthpiece was modified to fit a european/medium shank euphonium like the Willson 2900 or Pre-1974 Besson/Boosey & Hawkes
and gold plated by Karl Hammond, and is stamped "E" on the shank. ONLY THE SHANK WAS MODIFIED. Shank end is rather thin, but could be trimmed a little without affecting the playability.
The inner rim diameter is 25.4MM/1 inch, which matches the Schilke 51D/Bach 6 1/2 AL/Brian Bowman BB1 rim diameter. The rim contour is a flatter than the 51D and 6 1/2, but without the bite on the inner rim of the BB1, so it feels roomier. The Wick A cup is very deep but not as deep and not bowl-shaped like the 51D or the BB1.
There is some pink spotting on the mouthpiece, and there are insertion marks on the shank.
Creates a very focused sound, with a a good core."
