    Thumbs up FS: Lower price: $5499 - Willson/Marzan 2975 Front-Valve Compensating Euphonium

This is a rare instrument on the used market. It is similar to the Wessex Festivo, but this is basically a Willson 2900 configured in the American style. This one has been modified with a large-shank receiver to make your mouthpiece shopping a bit easier! And it has a main tuning slide trigger, which I assume was added; at least, I don't recall it being standard equipment. The included hard case has wheels added at the bell end for easier toting (the Willsons are very heavy instruments). Condition of horn and case is excellent. The bidding starts at $5,499 (ordering a new one will cost you over $10k) and there is a Make-Offer button.

  2. Dave, actually the Main tuning slide is a pull ring with the slide stop built in to the support rod. Typical left hand "tuba style" operation that any tuba player is quite comfortable with. One advantage of this setup is the ability to go either sharp or flat, since it appears not to be spring loaded.

  3. I miss my 2975 terribly.
That said, I can get a new one from Switzerland for about $8k US, so unless I'm missing something $6500 seems way over the odds here.

TY all for your comments on my 2975. The $6500 on Ebay is to cover their sellers fees, paypal fees, shipping fees ,packing materials and such. I will sell it outside of Ebay for $5500 . $5500 in its entirety thru PayPal.Buyer to cover fees or use Friends and Family. I will pay CONUS shipping.International shipping at buyers cost ~ $150 USD. So $6500 on Ebay or $5500 here if anyone is interested.
