    It's quite interesting! The Olds American-style euphoniums had the bell end (the part after the seam) from nickel, I believe. I'm not sure if Geneva does something similar (maybe with silver) of if they figured out a way to silver plate only that part. Kinda cool, anyway.

    I asked Daniel about the finish. This reminds me of the Old Studio model (American-style euphonium) that was around when I was in high school. He says his horn has a red brass bell with a nickel flare. Now you know!

    Glad you are with us, Daniel! My family history on my father's side traces back to South Wales. My great, great grandfather immigrated to the United States from there in the early 1800's. My brothers and I had planned a trip there this year, but alas, COVID-19 messed that up.

    Anyhow, you are quite an amazing euphonium player and I am happy that you have joined this forum!!
