    Slide oil

My high school gave me a Yamaha Neo with a trigger and was wondering as to what slide oil I should get so the slide moves smoothly when I use the trigger. I only have slide gel and I don't think that would work well with the slide. Any recommendations?
Edit: If a post has already been made like this I apologize I don't really know my way around the forum yet.

    Welcome to the forum!

When I had a tuning slide trigger, I used trombone slide cream. But I think different horns may require other choices. There have been several threads about this over the years, but maybe some folks will chime in here to refresh my memory of what they are using.

I use the Yamaha trombone slide cream (when I remember). Works good on my Adams with trigger. Slide-o-mix (trombone product) is another possibility. Some people just use oil, some use a very light weight slide grease and put oil on top of that. Many possibilities. What you don't want is a heavy grade slide grease. Keep in mind that the slide tolerances are greater with a slide operated with a trigger, than they are with regular slides.
