Memorial Day Tribute - Euphonium Quartet

This idea came to me last night, so I put a quartet recording together today.

"The Vacant Chair" was written after the Civil War, and refers to a vacant place at the table for a fallen loved one. My use of the song was actually part of a collection of light-hearted music I wrote from songs in the Andy Griffith Show (called "Mayberry Town Concert"). But this song is rather poignant (when it is not being sung outside of Otis Campbell's jail cell) and I came to like it. The lyrics are included in the video.

Just listened. What a beautiful tribute to our fallen heroes!! A simply stunning performance and beautifully filmed. Well done, my friend, well done, and many, many thanks for the tribute to those special souls.
