FS: NICE Conn Connstellation Euphonium - BOTH BELLS and Cases

Wow - if you have the storage room for 2 cases, this is the Connstellation for you! It is in really nice shape, trigger is there, and both cases look intact. Buy-it-now price is reduced to $1,550.

ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD (one less temptation for me!)

Is that Doug's old one? Looks really nice. I just don't know what I'd ever do with such a thing. It'd be fun to mess around with, but I can't see ever using it anywhere.

Yup that is mine. Nick Narcisi had the straight bell redone but is now selling it. This is likely the nicest Connstellation anyone will see for a LONG time. It is in immaculate playing shape with only some VERY minor scratches and nicks in the original lacquer on the back of the horn and bottom bow. The lacquer and case for the curved bell is original. The straight bell case is not an original Conn but is in decent shape. The Connstellation gold plated mouthpiece is very rare and was an "extra" of the period. The OEM mouthpiece was just silver plate.

I sold mine last year as Doug had seen it before. Not quite as nice as Doug's but was in great shape. It should sell but this is a hard time right now to sell anything. With the new climate in this country about Chinese made products, I suspect there will be a market. My horn was made in 1963, survived marching band in college and served me well for at least 50+ years. In those days, it was top of the line of American Euphoniums. With the two bells, it should be a hit.

Absolutely right Barry, my intention was for use in one of the two community bands in my area, which both went belly up about two months after I purchased from Doug, so the question, what to do with them.

The horn is in fantastic shape, as Dave says price has been lowered and shipping is now free. It’s pretty much the lowest and best deal I can provide at this time, we’ll see what happens.
