Thread: FS: Conn Connstellation Euphonium - Upright Bell - 4 Valves - Satin Silver

Thumbs up FS: Conn Connstellation Euphonium - Upright Bell - 4 Valves - Satin Silver

This Connstellation is in decent condition visually and seems just fine mechanically. The trigger mechanism doesn't look complete to me, but one could play without the trigger, or could have a repair person fix it (I think it is just a bent piece of metal it needs for the thumb ring piece). It looks like satin silver with bright accents and gold color inside the bell. Hard case (looks original) is included. Buy-it-now price is $1,250 and there IS a make-offer option.

  2. Bottom bow is pretty dented. The trigger is missing the nickel plated handle and the second lock nut. The handle could be fabricated out of brass. It is a straight piece of brass with L-shaped ends and a finger ring mounted about 2/3rds of the way up. There is a slotted hole in one L and a plain hole in the other end. See picture:

The bottom bow like Doug said is pretty dented and the horn would have to be disassemble to put that right. I didn't know that it came in silver plate. According to my repair guy when I had an older Bach 42, it had been plated in silver, not original.

  4. Satin Silver plate was an option on the Conn's of that vintage, but not common.

Thanks for the update, Doug. I thought I had just checked it a couple days ago, but eBay says it sold on the 25th - my timing was a little off.
