Excellent documentary about the annual brass band festival in the small town of Guca, Serbia. Featuring plenty of oval (and a few upright) euphoniums, baritones, and tenor horns. Currently streaming on Amazon Prime. The movie covers some really interesting history and politics, and the sharp racial divide between white Europeans and Roma Gypsy musicians that still exists in the world of Balkan folk music. Featured bands include Americans Zlatne Uste, the Serbian Dejan Petrovic Orchestra, and the Demiran Cerimovic Orchestra, a Serbian Roma group. Highly recommend!
