Yep, just did the basson solo in Ticheli's "Ave Maria" for our holiday concert.

    Tre bien!

So I ended up playing Bassoon parts for Lincolnshire Posy 1, VI, John Mackey's Sheltering Sky, Samuel Hazo's Solas Ane. I have to say it was definitely an interesting experience. Initially, it felt like I didn't fit it at all, but the director said that it did and well, I think it eventually grew on me.

Really enjoyed playing those parts a lot! It was a really good learning experience!

    Congratulations (grin)!

Were any recordings made? So we can hear and help you celebrate your triumph.

Unfortunately, not yet! The person in charge is slowly uploading the recordings but I am not sure if they intend to upload all of them. Will definitely share them if they become available.
