    In Gunhild Carling's Video

For those who don't know, Gunhild Carling is a multi-faceted performer who plays jazz trombone and trumpet, sings, plays bagpipes and recorder, plays 2 or 3 trumpets at once... etc.

Here is a video of her band doing Down by the Riverside using a euphonium as a bass. The young lady playing it sound very green at the instrument and at doing bass lines, but it's interesting to see her they anyway. I've seen several of Carling's videos and never saw the euphonium, so maybe this was a first-time experiment or some such thing.

She plays a mean trumpet and trombone and sings too. If you are not familiar with Aubrey Logan, you should check her out as well - amazing jazz singer and trombonist.

I just spent an hour listening to Aubrey Logan. I am in LOVE!!! Hopelessly in love!! Well, I actually love my dear wife, Linda, but Aubrey is a force of nature. Wonderful trombone player and listen to her sing and give a totally new spin to "My Heart Will Go On". What a talent. How come I never heard of her?? I need to get out more.

Thanks, Mike, for the tip on her. I will add her to my must watch and listen list (every one has one of those, right?)
