    Mouthpiece Possibilities

Okay everyone, I play mainly on my SM3U mouthpiece but I知 curious if there are superior options out there, especially for those like myself that are embouchure endowed (large lips). The other issue is I知 suppose to be getting braces and I知 needing to know what I can do to still be able to play and keep it up.
    Thank you all.

Warburton Demondrae Thurman signature mouthpiece. I love it. My lips, especially lower, tend to be on the larger side of normal.

Not sure what you mean by "superior options". To me, the SM3U does not work, so virtually anything is superior. I think that rim contour is more important for comfort than diameter. Obviously people with thick lips play trumpet without issue. Doug Elliot pieces may be a good choice to try, since they give you the option of comprising different rim diameters with the same cup size.

  4. I have fuller lips and agree with John that the Warburton mouthpieces have very comfortable rims. The Demondrae was on the big side for me, but the 4GD is a great mouthpiece similar in size to the SM3.

  5. Mouthpieces are very personal.
If interested I could make you a nice deal on a gold plated Randefalk mpc.
