Thread: FS: Willson 2704 Euphonium

Thumbs up FS: Willson 2704 Euphonium

    I'm selling a Willson 2704 non-compensating euphonium in lacquer.

Overall aesthetic condition is about a 7.5-8 out of 10. I don't think Willson makes this model anymore, so the wear is probably on par with its age. Has a few minor dings and scratches here and there, and some lacquer wear in places (most notably on the 1st valve slide - the previous owner must've held it in a weird fashion or worn a gigantic watch or something). Has had a slight bell crease repaired.

Was recently (as in this past weekend) chem/sonic cleaned by Musician's Repair in Indianapolis and had all pads replaced.

I tried to include enough photos to properly convey the condition of the horn. The valves and slides are in outstanding shape, and the horn plays wonderfully - classic Willson sound and excellent response in all the registers (Snorlax can back me up on this). To me it essentially feels like a non-compensating 2900 with a large shank receiver. Would be a fantastic step up from a Yamaha 321 or King 2280 and a great pro doubler's horn or backup horn. And, being a Willson, it's built like a tank.

Comes with a well-worn Schilke 51D and original hard case.

Asking $1500 but am open to offers. We can negotiate shipping as well. I'm located in Indianapolis.

A really cool (seemingly) rare horn with a really interesting 4th valve slide configuration. This is probably one of the best non-comp euphoniums you can buy!

    Thanks for looking!

I've played this instrument & I can attest to its quality.
At the price he's set, it's a steal.
